This is obviously really old, but I came upon it when I was researching some of the actors from the wire. Since I’m not yet officially settled in my place here in NOLA I have been using the seasons of the wire I have on my comp to keep me company in my temp housing situation. Every time I revisit this show it give me chills, this is HANDS DOWN the best show I’ve EVER seen. I have half of season 1, all of seasons 2,3,4 and most recently 5 on my computer. Back in 08 I was introduced to this series when my brother loaned his copies of seasons 1 and 2 to my dad. One night I was sitting at home watching the tube with my dad and he put in a disc from season 2. I was hooked immediately and took it upon myself to catch up. It took me only 4 or five days to run through both seasons (don’t judge). I bought them on my iTUNES because I couldn’t wait to return to my dad’s house to watch them. Thus why I have half of season one and the other full seasons on my computer. I just finished downloading the last episode of the series from iTUNES tonight. I never had an interest to watch season 5 just because of the media aspect, I thought it was going to be boring. And while it isn’t the best season it has turned out to be interesting and impressive nonetheless. I’m procrastinating going home to watch it because I don’t want this series to be over.
